Vessel

If you truly desire to remember who you are and the ecological role you are here to play, first you must build the vessel.

If you are here, chances are you’re one of the women who chose to incarnate at this particular moment in humanity’s story for a reason.

Because you carry unique medicine that is needed right now and for what comes next.

Yet somewhere between hyper-managing yourself to fit in and be seen as ‘good’, feeling completely overwhelmed by your native gift of sensitivity, or simply getting lost in the throes of modern domestic life – you forgot who you really are and why you actually came here.

But you feel it there.

That force inside you that you can’t quite name, yet has you sense that there’s something more.

It’s not anxiety, it’s HER.

The woman underneath all your conditioning and forgetting.
The part of you that remembers what you belong to, what you carry, and why you’re here.

Your innate wildness, asking to come home to your body & be fully lived through you.

But first,you must build
the vessel.

You cannot skip this.
And in fact, it can be dangerous to do so.

This is why our ancient ancestors facilitated rites of passage over many years, when individuals had adequately demonstrated their readiness for each initiation. Because they understood that the soul descends in stages, and too much energy too soon can actually cause unnecessary fractures. Or you simply end up spilling or wasting it because you haven’t yet developed the capacity to hold and wield it skillfully.

This is evident in the number of plant medicine participants who experience psychosis or severe depression post-ceremony, because they did not adequately prepare the vessel.

In that context, the dieta (the preparation) is equally as important as the medicine itself to ensure that the initiate has the somatic capacity to metabolise and hold what they receive.

Except in this instance – YOU are the medicine. And VESSEL is the dieta, so you can bring it through safely and masterfully.

Weaving the power of ecosomatics

In this program, you will also learn the foundational principles and practices of Ecosomatics, which is a core modality of this work.

Ecosomatics is an emerging field that recognises the body as the primary way we meet and take part in the living Earth. Growing out of Deep Ecology, it affirms that the more-than-human world is animate and ensouled, and that our interconnection with it is not just a philosophy but a lived reality we can feel, sense and strengthen through the body.

And it is through this embodied connection that we remember who we truly are – our ecological identity.

This is why humans have ventured into nature for thousands of years as a practice of embodied soul work.

Mytho-ecosomatics

A world-first, pioneered through her doctoral research

Lastly, this program also integrates mytho-ecosomatics, a pathway for experiencing nature’s animacy through embodied engagement with myth. This framework is based on Dr Brittany Jane’s pioneering PhD findings and the understanding that myths are not merely a collection of archaic stories or cultural artefacts but emergent expressions of nature’s consciousness encoded in storied form that may be embodied and honoured in present time through somatic practice.

Across all animist traditions, embodied practices such as ritual dance, song, and ceremony have long been used to engage with these myths, forming and sustaining the relational fabric between humans and the living, spirited world of nature.

Your guide

Dr Brittany Jane

Somatic Ecologist, Rewilding Mentor and Nature-Based Soul Guide with over 11 years of experience guiding women home to their innate wildness, through the body. A leading voice in Ecosomatics and one of the first people in the world to receive a doctorate in this field.

Her innovative research explores ways of relating to and restoring living ecologies through the body. Her work has received numerous awards for its unique leadership, including the inaugural Westpac Future Leaders Award and the Prime Minister’s Endeavour Award, and she was an Australian Representative to the UN Conference for Sustainable Development.

She has also tested her philosophies as a contestant on Naked and Afraid, surviving 21 days in the South African bushveld (naked!) with only two items — demonstrating an approach to survival that reveres the land as a conscious ally and teacher.

The ecosomatic training pathway

Vessel is the first step in a three-level training pathway designed to progressively deepen your capacity to embody, practice and, for those who feel called, eventually facilitate this work with others. Each level builds upon the last.

Frequently asked questions

What time are the live calls?

The live calls will alternate between 10am and 6pm AEDT (Sydney time). Brittany will be based in South Africa until November before returning to Australia and this is the most suitable time for both timezones. As much as we try to maintain consistency with call times, we ask for your flexibility if calls need to be changed for unexpected circumstances or for the needs of the group.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, there is a 4-part monthly payment plan option.

If you require an extended payment plan, we are willing to support this on a case by case basis. Please get in touch at [email protected].

What if I miss a call or the time doesn’t work for me?

All calls will be recorded and uploaded to the learning portal as soon as possible (within 24 hours). If you are unable to make a live call, you can always watch the recording.

Do you offer refunds?

No refunds are available after payment. If you are on a payment plan, you can request to cancel your plan if you choose to withdraw from the course, however no refunds for previous monthly payments will be given. Please consider your choice to join the course thoroughly before enrolling.

What if I fall behind in the content?

We have a number of break weeks built into the course so you can catch up on material if you weren’t able to attend classes or complete aspects of the program.

You will also have 6 months access to the course, which gives you lots of buffer time to catch up and really sit with the content.

How long will I have access to the course?

You will have access to the course portal for 6 months. This gives you plenty of time to catch up on anything you may have missed or wish to re-watch. After 6 months, the course will be closed as a way of energetically closing the container and encouraging people to finish.

If you wish to continue after this, you are warmly invited to remain part of our Avatara community, where you can keep practicing and stay connected with the women you have journeyed with.

How much time does the course require each week?

You can expect to commit approximately 3 hours per week. This includes our live calls which are approx 2 hours long.

However, there are also many break weeks interwoven throughout to provide more time to move through the content if you need to spread this commitment over a longer period.

Does the course require a certain level of experience or fitness?

No. All experience and fitness levels are welcome. While this work does involve movement, each practice is designed to be adaptable to your body.

The deeper intention of this course is about developing sensitivity to your own body’s impulses, rhythms, and needs. As such, you are always invited to meet the practices in a way that feels supportive for you. While some guidance may be offered from a standing position, you are equally welcome to engage seated or lying down. You could complete the entire course in this way if needed, including simply listening and engaging somatically at an internal or energetic level.

You know your body best. This space is designed to support that knowing, not override it.

Are there any age limits?

Due to the nature of the content, participants must be 18 years and over. There is no upper age limit.

Is it open to everyone?

This program is for women only.
